The undisputed capital of East Cape Tourism is the Village of Los Barriles. This is home to thousands of Gringos, for part of the year, at least. Aside from all of the physical attractions Los Barriles has to offer, there are some unique ones. Los Barriles is one of the finest windsurfing and kiteboarding destinations in the world. The consistent northwinds, during the winter, and sandy beaches make for a choice wind sport destination. In January, Los Barriles will again host the famous “Lord of The Wind” competitions. Los Barriles is also home to a number of Sportfishing Resorts.
The East Cape is a vast area stretching from the southern end of Ceralvo Island to San Jose Del Cabo. If you were to ask someone from Cabo where the East Cape was, they would probably reply that it was the area of San Jose Del Cabo.
For the visitor, there is a wide range of accommodations available in the area. There are a number of hotels, trailer parks, and rental companies that rent private homes.
On our East Cape page, we will soon be taking you on a grand tour of this whole area, from Cardonal in the north to San Jose Del Cabo in the south.
Some of these magical places include – Punta Pescadero, Los Barriles, Buena Vista, Rancho Leonero, La Rivera, Punta Arena, Cabo Pulmo, Los Frailes, Crossroads Country Club, Nine Palms, and Shipwrecks.
