Spanish Guide

Spanish Guide for Baja Travelers

We have put together a little Spanish Guide and primer that you can print and take with you to Baja. We have tried to cover the basic needs of Spanish for travelers. We hope you will, at least, try to speak some Spanish while traveling. It shows respect for the locals and you will find that you can quickly accomplish a much better relationship with them, just because you tried. It doesn’t matter if your pronunciation is off (even way off) as long as you are trying. Below is a small sample of what you will find in our file.

Our guide contains pages with basic General Phrases (example below), Numbers and Time, At the Airport, At the Hotel, At the Restaurant, Shopping, First Aid, At the Beach, Sightseeing, At the Garage or Mechanic Shop, and a basic pronunciation guide. Use it and have fun with it, you may find that you want to learn more. We certainly hope that will be the case.

We have created a PDF file that you can print (and staple). It will result in a nine-page booklet that you can carry with you on your trip. Click here to access the file that will open in a new window. (You may have to allow pop-ups in your browser). Practice – Practice – Practice, then try to use your Spanish wherever you travel in Baja. The locals will really appreciate it and they will go out of their way to help you, with your Spanish, and almost anything else you may need.
