Hospitals in Baja
More and more, modern hospitals are being built in Baja Sur because it has become a popular destination for all sorts of medical tourism. Even President Pena Nieto opened a location recently.
The Koral group is the owner and the hospital is called H+. This facility is a whole complex comprising of a Hampton Inn® (obviously with an eye on tourists) as well as an office complex for doctors, dentists, optometrists and other specialists. There is also a shopping component, including about thirty high-end retail shops and a large indoor food market. The market will include restaurants and fresh produce from the local area.
The hospital is open for business and is a great addition to the area. Not only does this facility possess the only blood bank in Los Cabos, but it has a full laboratory as well.
The hotel is ready to open at any moment. The doctors’ offices are ready and are looking for tenants, which I am sure they will have no trouble locating.
Other hospitals include Amerimed Hospitals in San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo. They are fantastic facilities and offer a full range of services, including emergency rooms and ambulance service.
Saint Luke’s Hospitals also offer full medical services including Bariatric Surgery, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatric Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dentistry, Eye Surgery, Dermatology and Oncology.
The area is now extremely well-equipped to take advantage of this growing industry. The quality of care is top-notch and the prices are way below what the United States has to offer.
