Mexican food, as you all know, is exciting. Not only are the flavors and spices an adventure, but the discovery of new restaurants and taco stands are a process of discovery. The cities are home to every conceivable type of cuisine from Brazilian, Argentinian, Italian to the wide-variety of specialities from all the different states of Mexico.
Some of the finest food is found in the most nondescript venues. Some don’t even have a name, but are generally known by the name of the owner. For example, our favorite is called Lupita’s Restaurant in Los Barriles. The photo above does not do justice to the wonderful seafood she prepares while you sip on a frozen Corona®.
The whole point of dining around in Baja is the adventure. Pretty much all of the people are super-friendly and it is truly rare to be in a place where the service is not good.
La Paz abounds with restaurants. After living here for 17 years, I still stumble on new and excellent eateries. We will be featuring some out-of-the-way places on this website in the coming weeks.
